just received your e-mail address from my brother in Holland Harrie Smook, I am his oldest sister, daughter of Jan Smook & Klasina (nee van der Laan), my name is Geesje, we migrated to Australia in 1958, married in Amsterdam in 1951 to Herman Blom, nee Amsterdam, for your information we called our oldest daughter: Klasina Anthonia-after her 2 grandmothers. (small world afterall) from Geesje
Thanks you for sharing these great pictures. I came to see your quilts - and especially liked the Attic Windows pattern quilt for children. I'm just about to start a similar one.
Isn't it interesting how many people have both quilting and genealogy as hobbies? My husband's family was originally from Norway - their name was Eide. We now live in Massachusetts in the United States.

I came to see your quilts, really like how you have used animals in your designs.
Do you know of other x-sting patterns with Norwegian designs, people or landscapes? I have a few books, with graphic designs, rose-maling, etc. but no scenery.
My family is from Ulnes, near Fagernes, Valdres.
I enjoyed your site and it was easy to use.

I was very surprised when I have these photos. Philipp (my son) was quite amazed and wishes to be able to share these impressions with Torbjorn. Sorry we are so far away, I guess it would be unforgettable to visit you and observe the trainings with the animals. We send you lots of greetings and wish you all the best.
